Engagement Campaigns

Reach employees with targeted engagement and audit-ready campaigns over email

Overview

Engagement campaigns are communication that can be used to target a specific segment of your company all at once. Campaigns are an excellent way to email essential information to all employees individually because the messages can be personalized, can be scheduled in advance and their reach is measurable. If your users don’t read to your email message, boost the campaign to re-send it to the set of users who haven’t opened the email. Engagement campaigns give domain admins an in-built tool to get their users to login and when done right they will significantly increase the adoption & engagement on your intranet.

Domains admins can create three kinds of engagement campaigns to connect with a targeted segment of network users to grow engagement in their community:

  • Email Campaign – Use for sending a personalized message over email to a targeted segment of network users.

  • Newsletter Campaign – Use for attaching posts along with a personalized message over email to a targeted segment of network users.

  • SMS Campaign – Use for sending a personalized message over SMS/Text to targeted segment of network users.

  1. Campaign Type: Click on the campaign type (Email, Newsletter or SMS) to view the list of campaigns and details for each campaign.

  2. List of Campaigns: View an aggregated list of all existing campaigns and details

    1. Campaign Name: Name or description of the campaign.

    2. Status: Status of the campaign.

      • Draft: a new campaign was created and saved but has not been sent.

      • Sent: the campaign has been sent to the target users.

      • Scheduled: the campaign has been created and will be sent on the scheduled date.

    3. Target Audience: List of users targeted in the campaign.

    4. Created On: Date when the campaign was created.

    5. Created By: Admin user that created the campaign.

  3. Edit/Clone/Delete: Once the campaign is created, click the (three dots) button to open the pop-up and then click Edit, Clone or Delete to edit or clone or delete the campaign.

4. View Insights: Click to view detailed analytics and performance of the campaign.

5. View: Click the View drop-down to filter campaigns by status: All, Sent, Draft or Scheduled.

6. New Campaign: Click to start a new campaign

Creating New Campaigns

  1. Click New Campaign to enter the Create Campaign screen

  2. Fill out campaign details

  • Campaign Name: Name or short description of the campaign.

  • From Name: Campaign Creator

  • From Email Address: Default from Email ID configured under the admin portal from which the outgoing email notifications are sent

  • Reply Back Address: Email address to which the response will go to.

  • Target Audience: Select the audience for the campaign using filters to navigate the company structure by the organization, office location, department, etc.

  • Narrow Audience: Further narrow down the audience based on inactivity and platform. Notes: If the domain admin who is creating the campaign also qualifies in the target audience then they will also receive the campaign email. Engagement campaigns is for network users only and not guest users.

  • Save & Continue: Click to save campaign details and write content.

3. Write campaign content

  • Email Subject: Subject title that will display to the user. Note: Not applicable for SMS campaigns.

  • Email or SMS Content: Text that will be displayed in the body of the email. Domain admins may include tags for the users' Display Name, First Name, Last Name, and Sender Display Name. Note: Newsletter campaigns allow existing Posts to be added to the body of the email.

  • Add Files: Only available for Email campaigns. Click to add attachments from a local drive or search files within the domain. Note: SMS campaigns allow admins to include links to pages or documents within the domain.

  • Test Email or SMS: Click to generate a test email or SMS to a selected list of people to view how the content is displayed. Test recipients will not be included in the insights.

  • Save & Continue: Click to save content and preview campaign.

4. Preview campaign content before sending or schedule to be sent at a future date

  • Web or Mobile View: Toggle between Web or Mobile views. SMS campaigns only display Mobile view.

  • Web or Mobile Content: View how content will be displayed in a web browser or mobile screen.

  • Schedule or Save & Exit: Select Schedule to send campaign at a future date and time. Enter date and time, then click Schedule. Select Save as Draft and Exit to save campaign details.

  • Send Now: Confirm campaign details and click Send Now to send campaign.

Audit-ready insights & report for the campaign

Engagement campaigns allow domain admins to see the performance of the campaign by measuring the reach:

  • Day by day graph of the total views of the campaign is available to the domain admins

  • Opened vs Un-opened list of network users is available for both campaigns

  • Clicked vs Un-clicked list of network users is available for newsletter campaigns

  • Campaign history captures creation, edits and boost of the campaigns

  • Download the insights in XLS that includes all the audience details for the campaign

Boost campaign

Network admins may use the Boost Campaign option to follow up with network users who haven’t opened or read the email. Admins are also personalize the message while boosting the campaign.

  1. Click Boost Campaign within the Insights

  2. Edit the message to be displayed to users who haven't opened the email.

  3. Click Boost Now to resend email.
