Audit Log

Lists the change & delete actions performed on your domain

Overview

The Audit Log captures and tracks all changes to settings and content deletions across your domain within MangoApps platforms. It serves as a detailed record of user activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.

By default, the audit log displays all logs with the most recent entries at the top. The log includes actions performed by any user on the domain, and these entries help administrators monitor changes in projects, groups, departments, and user accounts.

Key Features

  • Real-time Logging: The audit log captures and displays every action in real-time, ensuring that administrators have up-to-date information.

  • User Actions: Logs include a variety of actions such as adding, changing, deleting, exporting, and updating items.

  • Detail-rich Entries: Each log entry records the item affected, the action taken, the team it belongs to, the user who performed the action, and the date, time, and IP address from where the action was initiated.

  • Comprehensive Search and Filters: Administrators can search for specific log entries using content keywords and various filter options, making it easy to locate relevant information.

  • Export Option: The log can be exported as a CSV file for offline analysis or record-keeping.

  • Started: Indicates when an import has started.

  • Updated: Profile updates, dashboard customizations, and team invitations.

Items from unlisted groups and projects are displayed as "*****" in the audit log for privacy.

Filter Options

To help administrators quickly find specific entries, the audit log provides several filtering options:

  • Item Type: Select the specific type of item (e.g., user, team, post) for which the log entry was generated.

  • Action: Filter by the action performed (e.g., added, deleted, changed).

  • Date Range: Use the date picker to narrow down logs to a specific time frame.

  • Keyword Search: Enter specific keywords related to the content of the logs to filter entries based on relevant matches.

These filters allow users to quickly narrow down search results and review specific events.

Export the Log

Administrators can export up to 1000 entries from the audit log into a CSV file for further analysis or record-keeping. The exported log will include the selected entries and maintain the same format as displayed in the admin portal.

To export the log:

  1. Navigate to Admin Portal > Home > Logs > Audit Log.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and adjust the number of displayed entries using the Items per page drop-down menu. Select up to 1000 entries.

  3. Click the Export CSV button to download the audit log as a CSV file to your device.

Exporting the log does not trigger any notifications or emails, and it will not create a new log entry in the audit log. The system retains audit logs from the date of domain creation, and they are accessible at any time to network admins.

By utilizing the audit log and its features, administrators can ensure detailed tracking of changes within the MangoApps platforms, enhancing both security and operational transparency.
