# Synced Preferences

## Sync Settings in Windows

1. To access the Sync Settings menu, click on your apps tray. Then, **right** click on the sync icon and select **Settings**.

### General Menu

1. Select the **Notification Settings**
   1. Show Toaster: This is a pop-up notification that will appear on the screen
   2. Play Sound: The system will play the sound you designate, when a sync occurs
2. **Startup Settings**: Select to start MangoApps File Sync on Windows Startup
3. **Advanced Settings**: Select to:
   1. Send log file to MangoApps technical support team
   2. Clear cache to remove temporary storage
4. **Version**: View the current version of File Sync. The system will automatically check for updates and prompt you to update when one is available

1. **State**: Click the toggle to enable or disable the sync
2. **Folder Location**: Click **Select** to review/modify the sync location
3. **Selective Sync**: Select specific cloud folders to sync to your computer
4. **Advanced**: Specify to pause syncing based upon remain disk space
5. **Proxy Settings**: Select the appropriate proxy settings. You can select from:
   1. No proxy
   2. Use system proxy
   3. Specify proxy manually
6. **Bandwidth**: Designate the limit, if desired, for the Download/Upload limit
7. **Unlink**: Click the link the **Unlink This System** to unlink your computer from sync setup.&#x20;

## Sync Settings in Mac

1. From the app tray, locate the **File Sync** app.
2. Then, click on the **three dot menu** and select **Sync Settings**.

1. **Status**: Select to enable/disable the sync
2. **Folder Location**: Select the **Folder Location**
3. **Select Folders to Sync**: Select cloud folders to sync to the computer
4. **Advanced**: Select to pause syncing if remaining disk space reaches a certain limit
5. **Linked Account**: If desired, click on the link to **unlink** the computer

### Network Settings

1. Select and configure the **Proxy Settings**. You can select from:
   1. No Proxy
   2. User System Proxy
   3. Specify Proxy Manually
2. **Bandwidth**: Select any appropriate download and upload limits

### Other Settings

* **Notification Settings**
  1. Show Toaster: Enable a popup notification
  2. Play sound: Enable a sound notification of your choice
* **Startup Settings**: Select to have the File Sync start up when you computer starts up
* **Advanced Settings**:&#x20;
  1. Send log file to MangoApps technical support team
  2. Clear cache to remove temporary storage
* **Version**: A new version is automatically checked for every 8 hours. If there is an available update, you will be prompted to update your version. You can also manually check for an update by clicking on **Check Now**
