Overview

Within the Admin Portal's Insight dashboard, administrators gain access to a wealth of information regarding intranet search activity. The dashboard provides a summary of key metrics, empowering administrators to make data-driven decisions to enhance search performance.

Insight of Searches

Administrators can track the volume of searches conducted by employees on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. This granular view enables administrators to identify trends and patterns in search behavior over time, facilitating proactive optimization strategies.

Additionally, administrators are equipped with summarized insights regarding the top searched items and the 10 lowest-quality search results within the past 7 days, 30 days, and 90 days. These low-quality results signify searches that either yielded no relevant information or were rated unfavorably by users. Such insights serve as a compass guiding administrators towards areas for improvement within the intranet search functionality.

Insight of Searches with Low-Quality Results

This feature sheds light on searches that have generated subpar results, either returning no matches or failing to meet user expectations. Administrators can pinpoint these low-quality search items and take proactive measures to enhance their relevance and usefulness. Actions such as assigning hashtags to content, enriching metadata, creating saved searches, and promoting best practices for content titles can significantly improve search efficacy, ensuring employees can swiftly locate the information they seek.

Insights of Top Searched Items

On the other hand, administrators gain visibility into the most frequently searched terms within the organization over various timeframes. By identifying these top searched items, administrators can prioritize content optimization efforts, ensuring that the most sought-after information is readily accessible to employees. Whether it's updating existing content, creating new resources, or refining search algorithms, these insights empower administrators to tailor the intranet experience to meet the specific needs of their workforce.

Receiving Search Feedback

The inclusion of a feedback box within the search results page in the User Portal enables users to provide real-time insights on their search experiences.

Additionally, when no results are found for a search term, MangoApps automatically tracks it as a low-quality experience for employees.

This feedback is recorded and aggregated to translate into insights for the admin.
