Settings
Configuring the domain-wide settings for hashtags
Overview
The Settings tab within the Hashtag module allows network admins to control who can create and apply hashtags—especially Super Hashtags—and define how these tags appear in search results across the domain.

These configurations help enforce governance, reduce duplication, and promote consistent hashtag usage.
Settings Options and Descriptions
Who Can Create New Hashtags?
Control whether users can create their own hashtags or restrict creation to admins only.
Anyone can create new hashtags: Allow any network user to create new hashtags across the domain. Use this option if you want to promote collaboration and grassroots content tagging.
Only network admins can create new hashtags: Restrict hashtag creation to network admins only. This option is recommended for organizations that require centralized oversight to maintain a clean and consistent tagging structure.
Who Can Apply Super Hashtags?
Define which users have permission to apply Super Hashtags, which prioritize associated content in search results.
Only network admins can apply Super Hashtags: Only admins can tag content using Super Hashtags.
Network admins and selected users can apply Super Hashtags: Allows both admins and designated users to apply Super Hashtags. When enabled, the Super Hashtag option appears in the Add/Edit Hashtags pop-up in the User Portal for selected users.
Super Hashtag Search Results Color
Choose a highlight color to visually distinguish search results that include Super Hashtags.

Click the color picker to select a background color. This visual cue helps users quickly identify high-priority or authoritative content in their search results.
Save Settings
After configuring the options, click the Save button to apply the updated settings across your domain. Only network admins have access to the Hashtag Settings tab and can modify these configurations.
