The Content Templates section in the Admin Portal allows network admins to manage post templates available for users on the User Portal. Admins can activate or deactivate system templates, create and customize new templates, reorder the display sequence, and import templates to streamline content creation.
MangoApps provides 16 out-of-the-box system post templates that admins can use, clone, or deactivate. Admins also have the option to design new custom post templates, assign categories, and control their visibility and behavior on the User Portal.
The list of templates displays all active and inactive post templates. System templates can be cloned and customized to create new ones.
Click the three dots next to a template to access additional options.
Clone & Edit – System template only. Clone the template and open it in edit mode.
Deactivate – Hide the system template from the User Portal.
Activate – Re-enable a previously deactivated template.
All template activation/deactivation actions are recorded in the Audit Log.
Edit This Template – Custom template only. Edit a custom template.
Duplicate Template – Custom template only. Create a copy of a custom template.
Export Template – Custom template only. Export a template as a .zip
file.
Delete – Custom template only. Deleted templates are moved to the Trash Can and can be restored by network admins.
System templates cannot be deleted.
Choose which templates to view:
All – Shows both active and inactive templates.
Active – Displays only active templates.
Inactive – Displays only deactivated templates (marked with "Inactive").
Click Re-order Templates to drag-and-drop templates into the desired order.
Click Done to save the new order on the User Portal.
Only network admins can create custom post templates.
When finished designing the template, admins have the option to:
Publish Post Template – Publish it to the portal immediately.
Save as Draft – Share with other admins for review.
Cancel and Close – Exit without saving changes.
Import templates in .zip
format containing a .json
file (and optional images).
From the Design Your Own dropdown, click the Import a Template option.
Follow along with the instructions to successfully import the template.
Choose an import method:
New Template – Create a fresh template.
Override Existing Template – Select a template from the dropdown menu to replace the existing content.
Based on the selected option, the file will either be imported as a new template or used to replace an existing one.
The template name, definition, and assets from the imported archive will be used to create or update the template in this domain.
Upon successful import, the template will open in Draft mode for editing.
Click the Design Your Own button to open the Create Template page and begin building a custom post template. The posts template designer offers all the same tools used when creating a post in the User Portal. For information on creating posts, click .
