Overview
The Webhook Log is a feature in the admin portal of the Vermillion Investments business intranet, designed to track and monitor all webhook-related activities. This tool is essential for maintaining a record of requests and responses between the system and external services. Administrators can use the Webhook Log to review past events, analyze potential issues, and export logs for further analysis.
Key Features
Search Functionality: Allows administrators to search for specific webhook events by username, employee ID, or request type.
Filtering: Filter records by date, username, employee ID, and request type to pinpoint relevant webhook events.
Webhook Log: Displays key information, such as the username, employee ID, date/time, URL of the request, request type, IP address, and payload details.
Export Options: You can export the log as either a CSV file or a PDF, making it easier to analyze data offline or share it with others.
Possible Events
This log records all webhook requests and responses related to users and locations, excluding password and client secret fields. It helps admins analyze or troubleshoot updates to user profiles and location attributes, whether these updates were pushed to MangoApps from an external system or notified to external systems after being updated in MangoApps. By default, logs are retained for the last 90 days.
Filter Options
To narrow down your search results, the Webhook Log offers several filter options:
User Name: Start typing a username to search for webhook events triggered by a specific user.
Employee ID: Filter webhook events by entering a specific employee ID.
Date: Select a date or a date range to view webhook events that occurred on specific days.
Request Type: Filter by request type to view specific types of webhook events. Options include various types of API calls and custom requests.
To apply filters, enter the relevant information and click on the Search button. To reset all filters, use the Clear button.
Export the Log
The Webhook Log can be exported for offline review and analysis. To export the log:
Export CSV: Click this button to download the webhook log as a CSV file, which can be opened in spreadsheet software like Excel or Google Sheets.
Export PDF: Click this button to generate a PDF version of the webhook log, useful for sharing or printing.
Both options allow administrators to keep a backup of the webhook events or share the data with relevant team members.
Retention Policy
MangoApps retains Webhook Log entries from the date of domain creation, and these logs are never deleted. Network admins can access them at any time.
By utilizing the search, filter, and export functions, administrators can effectively monitor and maintain the webhook activities within the system.
