🆕Full Profile

Configuring the sections and profile fields for the users' profile

Overview

In MangoApps, network admins can control the display of profile sections, fields, and custom information via the Admin Portal. This includes managing pre-shipped profile sections and enabling or disabling custom fields based on company needs.

Admin Portal > Modules > People > Full Profile

Sections & Profile Fields

List of all pre-shipped sections, profile fields and custom fields for the People module within the domain. Mark the checkbox for the sections/fields to enable them on the users' profile on the User Portal. If unmarked, the section/profile field is NOT displayed on the User Portal for any user.

Drag-and-drop the profile fields to change the order they will appear on on a user's profile page. You can move profile fields to different sections by dragging-and-dropping them in sections. Each field displays a unique icon after the last character to depict the edit mode of the field.

Field Icons

No icon: Editable field. Any user can edit the content for the field in their profile via the User Portal.

Asterisk icon: Required field. A user must enter the details for the field in their profile. The system checks the required condition for the field on a profile's Create action or an Edit action on the User Portal.

Read Only icon: Non-editable/read-only field. Only network admins can edit the field content. A user CANNOT edit the content for the field.

Info Text icon: The field has a help text/information tip added to it. The help text appears when a user hovers the pointer over the info () icon.

User Controlled Visibility icon: The visibility of the field's content can be controlled by the user in their profile. Users can choose the content visibility to be:

  • Public - visible to all users on the domain. OR

  • Private - visible only to the user and the network admins.

Users CAN override the admin-selected default visibility on the profile page.

User Controlled and Private Fields vs. Associated Widgets and Automations

Limited: Admins can pre-determine which users can view the field. When Limited visibility is selected, admins can choose to allow only domain admins, user's manager, specific users, and/or specific teams to view the field.

Actions

Open Section: Click the (Open section) button to open the section and display all the fields in it.

Close Section: Click the (Close section) button to close the section and hide all the fields in it.

Delete: Click the (Delete) button to delete a custom profile section. You CANNOT delete the pre-shipped profile sections in MangoApps.
