When should I use this feature?

Use a post when sharing important information that you want all users within a group (or the company) to see. This feature is similar to mass emails.

Posts are better for long term content (with longer term value) as they offer:

  • Longer form content

  • The ability to add rich media with pictures and videos. Posts offer formatting options to give you control over the look and feel of the content

  • Features like acknowledgement, must read, scheduling in advance

  • Can be set to auto-expire (governance is available)

  • Appear in both the news feed and its own module, which makes them easy to refer back to

  • Boost options (with options to boost to users who haven’t read it yet or all users)

  • User insights

  • Podcast features

Common use cases for this feature include:

  • Company or team news and announcements

  • Share photos

  • videos or podcasts

  • Leadership messages

  • Business updates

  • Process updates

  • Weekly status reports

  • Employee introductions or promotions

  • All internal employee communications
