# Create an Event

### Overview

In MangoApps, you can easily schedule various types of events like meetings, appointments, team events, company events, and resource reservations using the Calendar feature. By utilizing this feature, users can organize their schedules effectively, allocating specific time slots for meetings, appointments, or team events. The integrated reminders and notifications ensure that users stay informed and prepared for upcoming commitments, reducing the risk of missing important events. Additionally, the ability to invite colleagues, clients, or partners cross-platform to events fosters collaboration and communication within teams, streamlining coordination and ensuring everyone is on the same page. Overall, your company calendar provides a centralized and user-friendly platform for managing events, enhancing productivity and facilitating seamless teamwork.

### Create an Event

To create an event, start by navigating to the Calendar module within your domain (or click on **Event** from your universal compose menu).&#x20;

Select **Create an Event** from the **Calendar Tools** dropdown menu. This will bring up the event creation menu.&#x20;

**Choose Event Type**

From this pop-up menu, you will be prompted to select the type of event you want to create.

**Fill in Event Details**

Enter the necessary details for your event, such as title, date, time, location, description, and participants.

Up to 10 teams can be added to a team event at once.

**Save the Event**

Once all details are entered, click on "Save" or "Create Event" to confirm and save your event.

### Event Page

Once an event has been created, the invitees will be able to view details a couple ways. Clicking the event on the Calendar where it appears will bring up abbreviated event details menu.&#x20;

This pop-up displays the basic overview information of the event such as event times, event type, and the event description. Users can also **RSVP** to events requiring it from this menu, and event creators can manage the event using the **Edit** or **Cancel** buttons.

For more detailed information, click the View More Details button. This will navigate users to the full event page. Team events will automatically navigate eligible users to the event page hosted within the team's workspace.

From the event page, and depending on the[ Calendar Settings](https://guides.mangoapps.com/admin-guide/module-settings/calendar), attendees can manage their RSVP, add the event to their external calendars, and share the event for qualified participants.

From the **Event Tools** dropdown menu, users can copy the event link, download a printable pdf of the event details, and even internally share the event.

Clicking **Share Event** from Event Tools dropdown menu will bring up the Share Event menu.&#x20;

From this menu, users can share the event via:

* **Private Message:** Share the link to this event with a team or co-workers through a private message. You can also directly copy the link and share it via other channels. The link will grant users access to the event according to its visibility setting.
* **Share in Team:** Share the link to this event within a team or with co-workers via private message. You can also copy the link and share it via other channels. The link will allow users to view the event based on its visibility setting.
* **Share via Copy/Paste:** Share the link to this event within a team or with co-workers via private message. You can also directly copy the link and share it via other channels. The link will grant users access to the event according to its visibility setting.
