Polls can either be created for general distribution, or users can create targeted polls, with any unique audience

Accessing Polls from Main Menu

To access Polls, click on Polls from the left-hand side menu.

1. Polls- See all polls (This includes closed and open polls)

2. FAQs- See commonly asked questions about polls

3. Polls- List of all polls that the user has visibility to see across all teams

4. Show- Filter what is displayed. You can filter by:

   1. All Polls

   2. Open Polls

   3. Pinned Polls

5. Create a Poll- Create your own poll to share with teams you are a part of and/or your followers

Create a Poll from the Poll Screen

From the Polls screen, select Create a Poll from the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

1. Select who you want to share the poll with. You can select:

   1. Any team (Project, Group, Department, Opportunity)

   2. All your followers

2. Input your poll question

3. Select your poll choices

   1. Default (Yes, No, Maybe)

   2. Custom (Maximum of 10 choices separated by comma. Ex. Choice 1, Choice 2, Choice 3, Choice 4, Choice 5, Choice 6, Choice 7, Choice 8, Choice 9, Choice 10)

4. If desired, select a poll end date and time

5. If you select Custom poll choices, you have the option to allow users to select more than one answer

6. Select if you would like to allow your users to post a comment along with their poll answer. This option is not available if you are allowing users to select more than response

7. If selected, this option will send a notification to EVERYONE the poll is shared with. If left unchecked, the users will get notifications based on their notification settings. This option is only available to domain and team admins

8. Attach any supporting documents to the poll

9. Select if you want to share the poll with all members, including guest user, or just network users

10. Preview what your poll is going to look like to others

11. Click Create to create your poll

Create a Poll from the Universal Compose Button

You can create a poll from the Universal Compose Button.

To start, click on the () Compose button.

Click on Poll.

Then, follow the same process as accessing from the Polls page.

Create a Poll from a Team Page

You can easily create a poll from any Team Page.

Navigate to any team. Then, click on Poll on the top of the screen. From there, follow the same process as accessing from the Polls page.

Working within Polls

When you create a poll, you have additional menu options available to you.

1. View Options: View possible answer options

2. Edit: Make edits to your poll. Only the poll creator can make edits to it. You are able to change the question but not the answer choices.

3. Pin it: Pin the poll to find it quickly. This option is available to all users.

4. Close Poll: You can close the poll whenever you decide to. Only the poll creator can close the poll.

5. Copy Link: Copy a direct link to share out. This option is available to all users.

6. Set a Reminder: Set a reminder on your personal calendar. This option is available to all users.

7. Export Results: You can export the poll results as an .xls file. This option is available to all users.

8. Move Conversation: You can move a poll and its comment to another team. This option is only available to admins and the poll creator.

9. Flag this Feed: You can flag a poll and its content for admin review if you believe it violates company policy or has inappropriate content. This option is available to all users.

10. Delete: You can delete the poll. This option is only available to admin or the creator of the poll

If you have voted in a poll, and it is still open, you will also have the option to revote.

Who can you share your poll with? You can share a poll with followers and teams you are a part of.

Can I change my vote in a poll? A user who has already voted on the poll can change his or her vote until the poll is closed.

Can I set a poll to automatically close on a particular date and time? Yes, while creating the poll, you can choose an end date for it.

Can I comment on a poll? Yes, but only if the creator of the poll has enabled the “Allow the user to post a comment” setting.
