Course/Curriculum Insights
Actionable insights empower administrators, instructors, and domain admins to assess the effectiveness of training programs and make informed decisions based on relevant data and metrics. This guide will walk through the insights available for Self-Paced Courses, Instructor-Led Training (ILT/vILT), and Curriculum/Programs.
Self-Paced Courses
Available for both Mango-authored and SCORM/xAPI based self-paced courses.
Explore key insights into the effectiveness of self-paced courses by examining the following metrics:
In Progress: The number of learners currently enrolled in the course that have not yet completed it.
Completed: The number of learners who have successfully completed the course.
Total Training Time: The total time spent by all users on the course. This includes the time spent by users who have completed the course and the users who are currently taking the course.
Quiz Insights
In conjunction with course Insights, if a course contains a quiz chapter, a Quiz insights tab will be available to admins and instructors when viewing the course.
Within this tab, instructors and admins can view insights for the course quiz(zes) such as the quiz name, completion number, passing attempts, and the average score of users that have taken the quiz.
An export .xlsx of the insights can be downloaded as well by clicking on the 3-dot menu for any quiz chapter listed.
Instructor-Led Training (ILT)
Evaluate the impact of instructor-led training using the following insight information:
Past Sessions: Count of sessions that have been successfully conducted.
Upcoming Sessions: Number of scheduled training sessions in the pipeline.
Learners Enrolled: The count of participants registered for upcoming sessions.
Total Completions: Number of learners who have successfully completed the course.
Total Training Time: Total time spent by all users on this course. This includes the time spent by users who have completed the course and the users who are currently taking the course.
Click the Export button to download a .xlsx or .pdf file of the selected course's insights.
Curriculum/Program
Assess the effectiveness of training programs organized as curriculums using the following metrics:
In Progress: The total number of users who are currently progressing through the curriculum and have not yet completed it.
Completed: The total number of times this curriculum has been completed by users.
Total Training Time: The total training time spent by the users on the courses that are part of the curriculum. This will also include all completed attempts of each course that is part of the curriculum.
Total Average Score: The total average score is determined by calculating the average score for users participating in the curriculum. This computation takes into account all completed attempts made by each user across every course within the curriculum.
Course-Level Insights
Similar to Quizzes, curriculum insights will also include an tab to view simplified course insights for all courses within the curriculum.
For each course, the following metrics will be available:
Number of learners currently enrolled in the course
Number of learners who have successfully completed the course
Average score achieved by learners who have completed the course
Online & Downloadable Insights
All insights are available online for web viewing. Additionally, downloadable XLS versions provide detailed analysis with custom profile fields, including learner's location, department, job title, and more.
