Instructor Experience
MangoApps allows you to create Instructor-Led Training (ILT) courses and manage the sessions in the course. Sessions of both types webinar/online and classroom are supported on the platform
- Create Virtual/Classroom ILT Courses
- Create a ILT course by providing all the required & optional fields like title, video introduction, description, category, instructor, certificate and the custom fields that have been setup for your domain
- When creating a ILT course select delivery mode as “Instructor-Led Training”
- Use the video introduction to post an overview of the course
- Use the credit hours the learner would earn on completing the course
- Use the certification fields to assign the certificate the user would get & it’s validity on completing the course
- Use the hashtags field to enter keywords for the course to make it easy to find the course using search
- Use the visibility field to decide which set of employees can see the course in the course catalog
- Use the auto-archive settings to automatically archive the course after X months/years (if needed)

- Self-Paced Course Resources
- A course can have a resource section that allows LMS admins/instructors to share reading material with users to prepare for the course
- Resources section can include PDFs, Videos and documents of any type
- Ability to view resources online and download is supported

- ILT Course Visibility & Access
-
- ILT courses support the same visibility values as self-paced courses. These include
- Private – The ILT course is not visible in the course catalog. A link of this course is needed to see & take a private course
- Specific Users – The ILT course is visible in the course catalog only to the users who are added here
- Specific Teams – The ILT course is visible in the learn module of teams that are listed here and in the course catalog to the members of the team
- Specific Locations – The ILT course is visible in the course catalog to users who belong to the locations listed here
- Entire Company – The ILT course is visible to everyone in the company
- Public – The ILT course is visible to everyone on the internet and also to everyone in the company
- Visibility effectively controls who can view the course in the course catalog.
- The user may still be able to take the course if they are given a direct link to the ILT course that they are able to access it (e.g., link to a course in public team that they aren’t a member of) based on the auto-enrolment setting of the course

- ILT Course Enrolment
- LMS admin/instructor can prevent users from enrolling in courses by themselves
- Ability to share instructions on how to take the course can be shared by the LMS admin/instructor
- When self-enrolment is turned off for a ILT course, users will not see an action to enrol for a session

- ILT Pre-requisite Courses
- One or more courses (Self-Paced, ILT) or curriculum can be set to be completed before starting the ILT course
- This is an optional list and allows instructors to enforce a learning path for users

- ILT Course Session Creation & Management
- Domain admins, learn module admins & instructors can create unlimited number of sessions for a ILT course
- A session is created by giving it title, start date/time, end date/time, instructor, max enrolment capacity and choosing a type of ILT session – Classroom, Webinar or Both
- The instructor for a session is picked from the list of instructors already assigned to the course
- Admin/instructor has capabilities to filter sessions by time & office locations.
- Admin/instructor can clone a session. Session properties will be copied over. Users in the session will not be copied.
- Use session search to find users in any session or the session itself

- ILT Course Enrolment Capacity Management
- Admin/Instructor can optionally set the max number of allowed learners in a session
- Max capacity helps restrict the maximum learners that can be enrolled per session

- Admin/Instructor can add users to the ILT course as they can do for self-paced courses
- Admin/Instructor can also add or remove users from a session or leave it up to the users to self-enrol
- Admin/Instructor can change the session of a learner. A learner can be part of only 1 session in a course at this time

- ILT Course & Session Editing
- Course Editing
- Course info & sessions can be edited at any time by the domain admin, instructor and designated learn module admins
- All the information in course info & sessions in the ILT course can be edited
- Delivery mode can’t be added if the sessions have be setup
- Editing a course that is already published will automatically hide it (temporarily) from the course catalog for the duration while it is being edited, to avoid learners to start or resume it while it is being edited. After the edit is complete the course will again automatically become available in the course catalog as before.
- Session Editing
- All properties of the session can be edited by the admin/instructor
- When a session details are changed or deleted, the admin/instructor will have an option to notify the enrolled learners via a private message

Instructors of courses can view & manage their course, do user assignment to courses & sessions, view course as a learner and do course/curriculum management
- Users who are an instructor on one or more courses/curriculums will see a tab in the Learn module called “Courses I’m Instructing”
- ‘Course I’m Instructing’ will list all the courses (self-paced, ILT) and curriculums for which the user is the instructor
