Calendar Integrations

Overview

The MangoApps calendar can seamlessly integrate with external calendar programs such as Outlook, Teams, iCal, and others. Adding these integrations can significantly enhance efficiency and communication within your company by streamlining the process of managing schedules by allowing employees to view and interact with intranet calendar events directly within their preferred external calendar application. By syncing these calendars, employees can avoid scheduling conflicts, stay updated on important meetings and events, and efficiently coordinate with colleagues who may use different calendar tools. This integration fosters a more connected and synchronized work environment, ultimately improving overall productivity and collaboration within the organization.

Calendar Integrations Dashboard

From this tab, admins are able to manage their connected calendar integrations. Each integration can be enabled or disabled using the toggle switch on the right hand of the dashboard menu per each listed integration.

Live Broadcast

To create live events with broadcast capabilities, you first need to enable the Live Broadcast feature.

From the Admin Portal, navigate to Modules > Calendar > Integrations.

By default, this setting is turned off. Once enabled, the option to create live events becomes visible for admins and/or selected users. From the settings menu, admins can also configure the live stream providers.

This setting is only available for system events and not for custom events.

Once Live Broadcast is enabled, admin/selected users can start creating live events via the Create an Event button.

Choose Online or Hybrid as the event type. The Live Broadcast feature is only available for these types. If you select In-Person, the Live Broadcast option will not appear.

Joining a Live Broadcast Event as an Attendee

From the attendee side, joining a live event is straightforward:

Event Notification: Attendees will receive a notification when the live event is created. The event will be visible on their My Web Calendar.

Join Live Event: A Join Live Broadcast button will appear 10 minutes before the event starts. This button remains disabled until the 10-minute window is reached.
