### Overview <a href="#overview" id="overview"></a>

Digital Signage is an essential tool for effective communication in today's dynamic business environment, and the seamless integration of Monitors AnyWhere with MangoApps Digital Signage takes this experience to the next level. By combining the powerful features of Monitors AnyWhere with the robust MangoApps platform, you can create a dynamic and engaging display that effortlessly conveys your content.

In this guide, we will walk you through the steps of creating a Page, setting up a Playlist, and creating a Channel for your Monitors AnyWhere account using your MangoApps domain content.

***

### Step 1: Add a New Page <a href="#step-1-add-a-new-page" id="step-1-add-a-new-page"></a>

To get started, log into your Monitors AnyWhere account and navigate to the **Pages** section. Create a new page by clicking the **Add** button in the top right corner of your screen. Create a name for your new page and save. This new page will now appear in your **Pages gallery**.

To begin adding the MangoApps content, click **Edit** from the dropdown menu after clicking your new page.

<figure><img src="https://1627138357-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LjKbJ2ssjhlUZRcGOXW%2Fuploads%2FE13h55QVbZYoMMrcd0Q9%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=739e24f6-cea9-4513-9ea3-fce398dc29b0" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Once in the page designer, click **Web page** from the **Apps** category along the left side of the screen. This will bring up the **Web page properties** menu.

<figure><img src="https://1627138357-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LjKbJ2ssjhlUZRcGOXW%2Fuploads%2FZvC95YG65Ex9aidRioBQ%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=a536127a-ed1e-48c6-8e14-6128f51016b6" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Returning to the MangoApps Admin Portal, copy the URL generated within the Digital Signage Settings and paste this URL into the **Web address** field within Monitors AnyWhere.

Set your desired **dimensions**, **content refresh rate**, and **animations** before saving. These options can be changed later.

<figure><img src="https://1627138357-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LjKbJ2ssjhlUZRcGOXW%2Fuploads%2FGAGEMgU3dPyWIiLnEjr0%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=99f1247a-ec3b-4439-b335-a3489775bf59" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Once your connected data has populated, make adjustments to the content windows to your preference; adjust the size of your web page app to fit additional content on the same page, configure the web page dimensions in the **Web page properties** menu, adjust container dimensions in the bottom right corner of your screen, etc.

{% hint style="info" %}
MangoApps Digital Signage supports dimensions that fit 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios.
{% endhint %}

***

### Step 2: Add a New Playlist <a href="#step-2-add-a-new-playlist" id="step-2-add-a-new-playlist"></a>

Once your content pages have been created, we will compile them into a **Playlist**. Similarly to creating a **Page**, from the **Playlists** section on the main dashboard, select **Add**, and name your new playlist.

Click on the playlist tile and choose **Edit**, to bring up the Playlist Editor.

<figure><img src="https://1627138357-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LjKbJ2ssjhlUZRcGOXW%2Fuploads%2F57gN5SeJKkDpzQsL957o%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=6c874518-53de-40d1-803b-623ae5b5fbcf" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Drag and drop the Page tiles created in Step 1 into the Playlist Editor. Once all pages have been added, customize **playback durations** and **page transitions** to suit your preferences.

Once your edits have been completed, make sure to **Save**.

<figure><img src="https://1627138357-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LjKbJ2ssjhlUZRcGOXW%2Fuploads%2Fktl1y6cRRjMODLGqjQoh%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=14fda3c7-a92d-40c8-9cc3-0b9479de105e" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

***

### Step 3: Add a New Channel <a href="#step-3-add-a-new-channel" id="step-3-add-a-new-channel"></a>

With the Playlist completed, we will now set up the **Channel**. The channel information is ultimately what will be used when connecting to your displays in Step 4.

As in the previous steps, navigate to the **Channels** section from your dashboard and click **Add** to create a new channel. Click this new channel and navigate to the Channel Editor by selecting **Edit** from the dropdown menu.

<figure><img src="https://1627138357-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LjKbJ2ssjhlUZRcGOXW%2Fuploads%2FwbJ9COOH57eDRhPb0uB1%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=80edf1b7-c470-4278-8487-8770a0debcad" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Drag the Playlist tile created in Step 2 and drop it into the **Channel Editor**. Select the checkmark on the right to save.

<figure><img src="https://1627138357-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LjKbJ2ssjhlUZRcGOXW%2Fuploads%2FEQqiajTEVeZB3azQpPJM%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=eb05e169-4808-48a9-8d25-242db33de579" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Step 4: Connect to External Display <a href="#step-4-connect-to-external-display" id="step-4-connect-to-external-display"></a>

In order to host your new digital signage channel on external displays, your devices will need to be registered and connected to the Monitors AnyWhere software.

To begin, install the [**Playr**](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=biz.playr\&pcampaignid=web_share) <img src="https://guides.mangoapps.com/~gitbook/image?url=https:%2F%2F1733114811-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-Lclpq021Ai9jH1_X4gO%252Fuploads%252FyDaz16GpByrA2HuLCv8o%252Fimage.png%3Falt=media%26token=9f0ab858-574d-4355-b66f-57045c791ecb&#x26;width=40&#x26;dpr=4&#x26;quality=100&#x26;sign=53be90cca4c37e9bfdfbc68dfaa9db08bcf0a37d8c4ef0472946fc31ec5d822f" alt="" data-size="line"> app on your Android TV from the Google Play Store.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If the Playr app is unavailable on the Google Play Store in your region, use the [APK (Android Package Kit) File](https://bpeuw1.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/support/android/PlayrForAndroid.apk) to manually download and install the app on your Android TV.

For information on APK installation, please refer to the [Monitors AnyWhere Help Guide](https://help-online.monitorsanywhere.com/en/player-configurations/platforms/android).

Follow the installation instructions shown on your TV, then navigate to your TV’s File Browser to open the app. If installation was a success, proceed with Step 4 of this integration guide.
{% endhint %}

Open the installed app and your TV screen should display information similar to the following:

Enter the **Registration code** shown on your TV, your desired player **Name**, and select the **Channel** created in Step 3, then select **Register**.

<figure><img src="https://1627138357-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LjKbJ2ssjhlUZRcGOXW%2Fuploads%2FYuBREocsTxL5KNppUaCA%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=ebe2ddc0-762f-4805-9d04-d48ef2e1f7a5" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Upon registering the new **Player**, the following screen should appear on the Monitors AnyWhere website.

<figure><img src="https://1627138357-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LjKbJ2ssjhlUZRcGOXW%2Fuploads%2FBf7pPj1QZLYnRS3oMTHB%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=f30e5fd1-112d-43ee-8596-90d6f4ac4ab7" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Make sure the selected **Channel** is correct, and set any desired metadata such as the player **Category**, **Location**, **Page** **content language**, and **Content** **read speed**.

If all information appears correct, click **Save**.

Upon saving the player information, you will be redirected to the Players category within the Settings menu. If registration and connection were successful, the new player will be marked green under Status in the Registered players section.

<figure><img src="https://1627138357-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LjKbJ2ssjhlUZRcGOXW%2Fuploads%2FZl2OhUz0VcYEjcRVNSfj%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=c03a2439-484d-41b1-8411-3d7957a6c033" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Congratulations! You have completed the integration.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If the player is **edited** or if there is a **loss of connectivity between the display device and Monitors AnyWhere**, the status will change from Green to Red. To resolve this, click the **Reload** option in the Registered Player section to resume the selected channel on the connected display device.
