Invite new users with a valid email address to your MangoApps domain as network users from the Admin Portal > Users > Invite or Add Users menu.
Enter the first name, last name and email address of the user to be invited in the corresponding fields. Click the Add button to add the user's information in the invites' list. Repeat to add the details of multiple users.
In Advanced Settings, select the option send invite email with MangoApps login ID & password in it to send an invitation email to the users with their login credentials to your MangoApps domain OR select to not send invite email to not send any invites to users and only add them to your domain.
Admin users can elect to send invites to these added users via Admin Portal > Users > Manage Users > User Tools > Send Invites.
If you have integrated Single Sign-On (SSO) services with MangoApps, the SSO options will be displayed as options as well.
Click the Send Invites Now button once complete.
Network admins can manage Admin Role permissions from Admin Portal > Users > Admin Roles.
A user must be a part of the domain before they can be assigned a role.
Admins can share a signup link with users for self-signup via Admin Portal > Domain > General Settings > Invite. Scroll down to the Invite Settings section and choose to allow employees to invite other employees.
When allowed, the link can be copied from Users > Invite or Add Users > Share Sign Up Link within the Admin Portal.
Signup page preview:
The system automatically sends an invitation email to the user with their login credentials on signup.
For the moderated invitation method (Admin Portal > Domain > General Settings > Invite, Signup & Login Settings > Employees to invite other employees > Moderated) on your domain, the Share Sign Up Link tab is not displayed.
A user is assigned the Network User role on signing up via the signup page.
Bulk import and invite users using a .csv file as a network admin and organization admin to your MangoApps domain.
Click the View sample CSV format link to download the sample file for importing users.
To prevent data mapping issues, all column headings MUST match those in the sample CSV, even if no information is entered into the columns for users.
A note on some of the fields within the CSV:
Email/Login: This must be a unique email ID/login ID of the user. MangoApps uses this field as the primary field for linking and updating a user's information.
Organization: This field must match an existing organization on your domain for automatic assignment to succeed. When a network admin imports users via a .csv file, the organizations for the imported users are assigned based on the records in the file. However, when an organization admin imports users, only users belonging to the organizations that the admin manages are imported as Active users. The rest are sent to the network admin for approval, and these users will appear with a Pending status.
Enabled: Status of the user after importing.
TRUE: Adds the new user and sets the status for the user as Active. For an existing deactivated user, if the value is set as TRUE in the .csv file, then the status of the user is changed to Active.
FALSE: For a new user, if the value is specified as FALSE, then the user is not added to the domain. For an existing active user, if the value is set as FALSE in the .csv file, then the status of the user is changed to Deactivated.
Office Locations: This field must match the existing office locations on your domain for successful automatic assignments. The system automatically adds the users to the associated location-based group of the office location on successful assignment.
For information on importing or synchronizing users from other programs, please select your method below:
To deactivate or delete a user, navigate to Admin Portal > Users > Manage Users.
Deactivating active users restricts their login privileges while preserving their contributed MangoApps content. To deactivate users:
Select the checkbox next to the active users you want to deactivate.
Click the User Tools button, then select Deactivate.
In the confirmation pop-up, click Yes to suspend the selected users' login privileges.
When a user is deactivated, an email is sent to the network admin who performed the action. Deactivated users do not count toward the total number of paid users in the domain.
Deleting users removes them from your domain while retaining their MangoApps content. To delete users:
Select the checkbox next to the users you want to delete.
Click the User Tools button, select Delete, and confirm in the info pop-up by clicking Delete User.
In the delete confirmation pop-up, type "DELETE" and click the Delete button to permanently remove the selected users.
After deletion, the content they contributed will display Anonymous as the username.
If you may need to reactivate a user in the future, it's recommended to deactivate rather than delete them.
