# Chat with Messenger

### Download the Messenger Client

MangoApps Workplace offers a chat messenger for Desktop, Web, and Mobile. To access the download links, navigate to the **Downloads** module along your left hand side navigation menu.&#x20;

Log in with your domain details to start messaging your team.

### Managing Chat Notifications

From your messenger client, click the profile picture icon to access your settings menu. Select **Preferences**. Alternatively, click the **Preferences** icon located in the bottom left of the chat window (Web and Desktop client only).&#x20;

From the preference menu, you can set general preferences, customize messenger notifications, check your cennectivity, and view details about your messenger version.

Fine tune your notification settings from the [**Change My Settings**](https://guides.mangoapps.com/mangoapps-workplace-guide/basic-features/manage-your-settings) menu in the User Portal.

### Chat Options

Individual and group chats have additional settings that apply exclusively to those chats.

While viewing the chat, click the 3-dot action menu in the top right hand corner. From the dropdown menu you can perform various actions such as performing a search within the chat history, setting custom notification noises, and even deleting messages.
