Configuring the Home Module for all users
Last updated
By default, the landing page is set to the Home Module for all users after they log in to your MangoApps domain. Network admins can set up both the default layout and the content that appears on your users’ Home on the User Portal.
Network admins can setup dashboard using fixed height widgets vs variable height widgets. Fixed height widgets help admins to align up the heights of all the widgets in a row. When toggled ON the widget height setting cannot be overridden by end users, to ensure they get a consistent UX.
Click the Widget Gallery button to scroll through the list of widgets and then click the + Add button to add them to the home page. Each widget dynamically loads the content based on the logged in user's role.
For a full list of the widgets offered by MangoApps, check out the pdf below!
To see more information on specific widgets, visit their sub-articles under the full module explanation in the User Guide.
Click the Publish Changes Only button to apply the edits made to Home and append the changes to the existing Home configurations of users. This does not overwrite the existing Home configurations of the users.
Home module changes by the network admin are logged in the Audit Log as Dashboard published with changes only for the Dashboard item type.
Impact of Publish Changes Only:
A newly added widget by the network admin gets added to the end of the user home module (if the widget is not present).
Edited widgets (for example, settings changed via the Set Properties option found in a widget's 3-Dot action menu) by the network admin get updated on the user's dashboard (if the widget is present).
Deleted widgets by the network admin get deleted from the user dashboard (if the widget is present).
No layout changes will be made to the user's dashboard.
Other widgets on the user dashboard will not be changed or removed.

In a scenario where the page width is fixed at 1200px, such as on Home, Team, or Company pages, using the default font family and size, the following character limits apply to widgets:
Widgets with a single column display approximately 30 characters before ellipsis appear.
Widgets with two columns display around 70 characters before ellipsis.
Widgets with three columns display all 100 characters.

Width of Widget | Minimum px | Recommended px |

This feature enables you to determine the visibility of the widget, either to all network users or exclusively to specific user segments.
To ensure uniformity in the dashboard layout, we advise adding a widget with an identical column width (1, 2, or 3) below any widget with restricted visibility.
Click the Lock () icon to create a sticky widget. A sticky widget ensures that a widget remains on all users home modules permanently — they cannot delete this widget nor change the title. This option still lets users add and remove other widgets.
Hover over the More Options () icon to duplicate, add more, or remove widgets. This menu also allows you to Set Properties for individual widgets.
