The Media Center in the user portal makes it easy to preview and access all media files, including videos, images, and audio. By offering visual previews and a streamlined way to interact with files, users can quickly find, view, and manage media files without extensive searching or navigating through other areas of MangoApps.
The media display and filter options allow users to easily refine and organize their libraries. Users can narrow down media files using filters to view specific file types or categories, and modify display settings for a more customized view.
Various library settings can also be adjusted for a personalized experience. Additionally, bulk actions enable users to perform tasks on multiple media files at once.
For administrators, there’s an option to manage categories, making it easier to organize and keep the library well-structured.
Users can share their entire media center or individual files with others through a share link. Share links allow team members or groups with permission to view files without needing to search or navigate.
To upload media to the user's Media Center, navigate to the Media Gallery and click Upload New Media button.
Drag and Drop your file(s) or select Browse Media to choose from your computer. Then, click Next.
Enter any required details and click Next again. Select the folder(s) to save your files in and finish by clicking Done.
A confirmation message will appear at the top of the screen to confirm your upload was successful.
Each media file in the library has a three-dot menu with options to manage or interact with the file. Depending on the file type, additional options will be available.
Options include:
Quick View: Preview the file. For video files, a playback option is available.
Pin/Unpin It: Pin important files for easy access.
Share: Share files with colleagues, teams, or through an internal share link.
Embed Code: Generate an embed code to include media in other content. You can make the embed size responsive or fixed.
Download: Save the file offline.
View Insights: See how many times the file has been viewed, downloaded, and pinned.
View Access History: View who has accessed, modified, or shared the file. The history includes details like:
Viewed, downloaded, uploaded, shared
Permissions changes, co-editing sessions, renames, and more
Set Thumbnail: Video file only. Change the thumbnail or preview image.
Manage Subtitles: Video file only. Subtitles & transcript can be enabled and auto-generated using Mango AI Engine. Only network admins & intranet admins can perform this action
For more information on file level actions, check out the files guide, here.
Automatic Language Selection for Subtitles
Up to six languages are automatically selected for subtitle generation based on user language preferences. These languages are prioritized according to the number of users who have set each language in their profile—the more users with a particular language preference, the higher the likelihood it will appear in the top six.
If subtitles already exist for a language in the top six, they will not be re-generated. This means that when a new language enters the top six after previous videos have been processed, the available subtitle languages may vary between videos.
Quickly access pinned files from the left-hand menu by selecting Show My Pinned On Top from the dropdown. The pinned files will display at the top of the center.
When users Share a media file with colleagues, guest users, or via public link, they can set the permission types.

The Media Center displays all videos, images, and presentations (PDFs, PPTx) with company-wide access. By default, this includes files uploaded to the network drive and public teams, as these locations are accessible across the organization.
The Media Center is always a subset of the Files module, focusing specifically on videos, images, and presentations with company-wide access. Files can be uploaded from either the Media Center or the Files module, as MangoApps treats both upload locations the same way.
