Edit a Screenshot
Overview
The Mango Recorder provides a variety of annotation tools to enhance your screenshots for presentations, feedback, or documentation.

Screenshot Edit Toolbar
Located at the top of the editor, the annotation tools include shapes, text boxes, arrows, effects, and more.

Actions
Use the left and right arrows to undo/redo your changes or access general editor settings using the
pointer.
Shapes
The Shapes section enables users to add shaped annotations to video captures. Available options include drawing a rectangle, ellipse, line, or freehand drawing with the pencil tool.
The color of these shapes can be chosen in the Colors section.
Annotations
Text: Use this tool to add a text box annotation to the video. The stroke and fill colors can be designated in the Colors section.
Arrow: Use the arrow tool to draw and arrow annotation within the video edit area.

Effects
Pixelate and
Blur: Pixelate or blur effects are useful for protecting sensitive information such as personal details, client data, or confidential content like passwords and financial records. They help reduce visual clutter by obscuring irrelevant parts of a screen capture, making it easier to focus attention on key elements. Additionally, these effects ensure compliance with security policies or legal requirements, allowing users to share screenshots publicly or in presentations without exposing private or sensitive data.

Crop: The crop tool allows users to remove unnecessary parts of a screenshot, keeping only the most relevant sections. It’s especially useful for resizing screenshots to fit specific dimensions or highlight a particular area without visual clutter.
Highlighter: The highlighter tool allows users to emphasize specific text or areas within a screenshot by adding a translucent color overlay. It’s ideal for drawing attention to important details, such as key phrases, buttons, or sections of interest, without obscuring the underlying content. This tool is especially useful for presentations, feedback, or documentation.
Magnify: The magnify tool highlights and enlarges a specific part of the screenshot, making it easier to focus on small details such as text, icons, or intricate elements. It’s particularly useful for emphasizing features that might otherwise be overlooked, like fine print or subtle design elements, without altering the rest of the image.

Add Watermark: The watermark tool allows users to overlay text or an image onto a screenshot to claim ownership, ensure branding, or protect intellectual property. It’s particularly useful for preventing unauthorized use or distribution of content by marking it with a logo, company name, or other identifying details. Users can elect for the Mango Recorder watermark or upload their own.

Colors
In this section, users can customize the Stroke and Fill colors for selected annotations. The Stroke option determines the primary outline color of the annotation, while the Fill option sets the background color for filled shapes, such as boxes. Additionally, the Fill option can be adjusted to transparent if no background color is desired.
Click the color box next to each option to choose the desired color via the following options:
Quick Color Selection Panel: A dropdown menu showing a grid of predefined colors for both Stroke and Fill options. Click the option labeled More Colors >> for additional color choices.
Advanced Color Picker Dialog: A more detailed interface that allows users to select from a wide range of colors. It includes:
A grid of Basic Colors.
A section for Custom Colors where users can define and save their custom color preferences.
A color spectrum for precise selection using sliders or input fields for Hue, Saturation, and Luminosity (HSL), as well as RGB values.

Formatting
Users can further customize annotations with the following options:
Thickness: Adjust the thickness of the annotation lines by selecting the desired annotation and setting the line thickness.
Text: Choose the font and font size for text annotations from the dropdown menu.
Click on any annotation in the edit field to modify its size as needed.
Drag-and-Drop Images
Mango Recorder allows you to drag and drop images directly onto an active canvas. You can do this by dragging an image from another Mango Recorder screenshot window or by pasting an image from your clipboard using the Paste option in the Edit dropdown on the top toolbar. Once added, the image can be resized and moved as needed.

Zoom and View Settings
At the bottom-right corner of the editor, you can adjust the zoom level to work on finer details or fit the screenshot on your screen.
Manage Annotation Layers
Right-click on an annotation to adjust its position within the annotation layers.

Users can also copy, delete, or paste annotations within the same editor session using the right-click menu.
Once edits have been made to the capture, users can select their preferred Save method.
