Unattended installation of MangoApps for windows using .msi installer
For unattended installation of MangoApps for Windows, use the .MSI (Windows Installer) version of the setup package. You can download the installation file from the Downloads page.
Pre-requisites
You must be logged in with local administrative rights since it installs to the users Program Files directory.
No previous version of MangoApps for Windows desktop is already installed. If a previous version exists, please uninstall it followed by a machine re-start for clean-up.
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 Client Profile or above is installed on the target machines http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=40773
Microsoft Visual studio tools for Office Runtime 2010 is installed on the target machines http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=158917
Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable is installed on the target machines http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/6/B/16B06F60-3B20-4FF2-B699-5E9B7962F9AE/VSU_4/vcredist_x86.exe
Use the 32 bit msi to install on machines with 32 bit OS and the 64 bit msi to install on the 64 bit OS machines.

Specify installation arguments in a command line window
Open a command line window.
Enter the following command: 'msiexec.exe /i mangoappsforwindows.msi/q'
Specify command line arguments as parameter=value pairs :'msiexec.exe /i mangoappsforwindows.msi argument=value'
Assuming the current directory is where the mangoappsforwindows.msi file is located. Otherwise, you should use the actual full path to the setup package. See the examples below.
msiexec /i c:\downloads\mangoappsforwindows.msi /q
msiexec /i \server\pub_install mangoappsforwindows.msi /q
2. Push Installation (Remote, Silent mode)
Command-line push installation (silent mode) of MangoApps for Windows to remote computers over the network can be done using the psexec.exe utility.
You will need the PsExec utility to perform this type of remote installation. PsExec is part of PsTools available from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897553.aspx free of charge.
To install MangoApps for Windows on a remote computer using the PsExec utility, use the following shell command: 'psexec \COMPUTER -u UserID -p PWD msiexec /i \SERVER\share\ltsetup.msi /q'
COMPUTER – remote computer name (UNC, DNS name, IP address) UserID – remote user name (must have administrative privileges) PWD – remote user password
\\SERVER\share\mangoappsforwindows.msi – absolute UNC path to the MSI setup package. If the remote computer has a network drive mapped to a shared folder on the file server, you can use it instead (e.g. S:\pub_install\mangoappsforwindows.msi)
As an alternative to this method of remote installation, you may want to use the Group Policy Management Console to install MangoApps for Windows.

Where can I download MangoApps clients for ios, android, windows or mac?
You can download the messenger clients for MangoApps while logged into the web client on your domain. Click the “More” menu in the left hand navigation then find “Downloads”.See here on how to download the apps. You can also download the MangoApps clients from your login page.

How do I install MangoApps for windows and mac?
To install the Windows or Mac version of MangoApps:
Login to MangoApps Web and click “More> Client Apps” from the left navigation bar.
Choose the appropriate client based on your operating system, either Mac or Windows.
Launch the installer.
Please note: During the install, allow any operating system prerequisite that is prompted to be installed.
How do I log in to MangoApps for Windows and MangoApps for Mac?
To log into MangoApps for Windows or Mac, you need 3 pieces of information:Login IDYour email address or LDAP ID.PasswordYou have set it previously, or you have received it for the first time, or you have reset it.MangoApps Domain URLStated with your initial invitation email, it’s the URL that usually contains the domain part of your email address. If your email address is myname@company.com
then your MangoApps Domain URL may be company.mangoapps.com
.
With these 3 pieces of information, you enter them into appropriate text field in the Windows or Mac client.
How is MangoApps for Windows and MangoApps for Mac Organized?
MangoApps for Windows and Mac have tabs at the top of the client so that you can switch between “Notifications”, “Messages”, “Chats” , “Colleagues”, “Teams” and “Files”.
You can click on the top “Compose” action to start writing a new “Update” (to followers and to teams), “Private Message” or “Start a Chat”.
Depending on whether you use Windows or Mac, there are menus in the client for Windows, and Menus in the OS for Mac. The menus will have additional features such as Inviting Colleagues, Reading all the unread Notifications, Setting your status and viewing your (or other people’s) profile.
How Can I access application settings? And What actions I can perform?
Launch the Windows application and click on the Profile Picture to view the sub menu and choose “preferences” option to explore the application settings from where you can do the following:
Configure Notification Pop-ups
Configure Notification Sounds
Configure Chat Sounds
Preferences
Sign Out
Help Menu which includes “Report a Problem”, “Email logs to Mango support” and Online Help
These actions are also available in the Mac client but rather than a Gear Menus, there are top-level OS menus that contain these items.
What information can I get from the “Help” menu?
From the Help menu, you can take to the support executive and report a problem or share the logs via email , additionally, you can visit MangoApps Help site in order to read articles related to MangoApps in general, or MangoApps for Mac and Windows specifically. If you can’t find an article you’re looking for on the site, please don’t hesitate to tell support@mangoapps.com what you’re looking for and they can find it or draft an article.
What changes can I make from the top-level UI?
The top-level UI allows you to change everything in the gear menu section above as well as additional items that activate through clicking their icon, button, or entering text.
What is the purpose of the “Notifications” , “Messages”, “Chats” , “Colleagues” , “Teams” and “Files” tab in MangoApps for windows and mac?
Notifications: This tab lists all your (read/unread) notifications.
Messages: One place to access your Private messages
Chats: One place to access your all Chats (Private and Team)
Colleagues: You can quickly find the person you need to chat with or communicate in from the “Colleagues” tab.
Teams: You can quickly find the team you need to chat with or communicate in from the “Teams” tab.
Files: You can quickly view all your sync’ed files and folders.
What do different “message statuses” on the desktop app mean?
Messages statues enables the end-user to find the final status of message after it is sent. There are 5 message statuses available in MangoApps (Both web and Native App).
IM delivery successful: This means your message sent was received by the server (will now appear in history), and it appeared in the desktop client on your colleagues computer. This means it either popped up in a chat box, or was minimized and blinking for new IM based on their settings.
IM delivered to server: This means again your IM was received by the server and will appear in history, but it means the colleague was NOT signed in to desktop. They would have been logged on Web or Mobile at the time.
IM delivery failed: This means your message did NOT reach the server. You need to check your internet connection.
Delete on Read: This means that the message will auto delete (after 2 minutes) after it is read by the recipient.
Request Read Receipt: This means that a read receipt will get generated for the message when it is read.
How to install MangoApps for mac from MangoApps server?
When installing MangoApps for Mac from the MangoApps server, you may receive this message:"MangoApps" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers.
To resolve this:
Go to the System Preferences app on your Mac.
Select “Security and Privacy” option.
Go to “General” Tab.
Unlock the settings on bottom left Lock button.
Select Anywhere.
Now you can proceed further with the installation of the MangoApps for Mac messenger application.
