Overview

The Anniversary and Birthday widgets allow users to access more personalized and relevant information regarding colleagues celebrations. In the Upcoming Birthdays widget, users can filter to view either the birthdays of people they follow or everyone within the organization. This feature helps streamline the data, especially in large organizations, ensuring users focus on the birthdays that matter most to them. Similarly, the Work Anniversary widget offers filters that show either the work anniversaries of people users follow or all users.

Upcoming Birthdays Widget

The Upcoming Birthdays widget provides filtering options to help users view specific data regarding upcoming colleagues birthdays. Birthdays can be filtered based on two criteria:

• People You Follow: This allows you to see the upcoming birthdays of only those users whom you are following on the platform.

• Everyone: See the birthdays of all users across the organization.

This feature is especially useful for larger organizations, where seeing the birthdays of everyone may feel overwhelming. By selecting the filter, users can focus on celebrating birthdays that are relevant to their immediate network.

How to Use the Birthday Widget Filter:

Navigate to the Upcoming Birthdays widget.

In the settings, select the new filter option.

Choose either:

• For Users I Am Following – to view birthdays of users being followed.

• For Everyone – to see birthdays for all users within the organization.

Work Anniversary Widget

Similarly, the Work Anniversary widget features a filtering option, making it easier for users to focus on the anniversaries of people within their immediate network.

This widget offers the following filters:

• People You Follow: View work anniversaries of only those users who the user is following.

• Everyone: See the work anniversaries of all users in the organization.

This customization ensures that users can congratulate the right people on their work anniversaries without needing to sift through data that may not be relevant.

How to Use the Work Anniversary Filter:

Go to the Work Anniversary section in the People widget.

Open the filter options.

Select:

• For Users I Am Following – to narrow down the list to users you follow.

• For Everyone – to display work anniversaries for all users in the domain.
