Integration with SharePoint
Overview
Integrating SharePoint files into your company's MangoApps domain allows users to access SharePoint content seamlessly within MangoApps and enables federated search across both platforms.
By default, this feature is disabled. Follow along with the steps below for activation.
Enabling SharePoint Integration
To get started, navigate to the Files module within the MangoApps Admin Portal. From the Integrations tab, scroll down until you see the Cloud Folder Integration section.
When the SharePoint cloud folder integration is toggled om, you will be prompted to authenticate the SharePoint account. which will auto-authenticate upon login.
Ensure that the Cloud Folder Integration option is enabled. If it is not already enabled, please contact your Account Management Team.
Syncing Cloud Folders
Once successfully synced, SharePoint files will be accessible within the Files widget and in MangoApps modules. Navigate to the Cloud Folders tab within the Files module in the Admin Portal.
From this menu, you'll be prompted to specify the cloud folder path for the documents you want to sync with your MangoApps domain.
In step 2, you'll repeat the same process, but this time you'll define which folder in MangoApps' Files Module to sync the selected folder path to.
Click the Save button and your files will begin syncing.
When you designate your folder path, you'll only see the folders within that path, not any documents or other file types. It's important to note that just because the menu isn't displaying any files, it doesn't mean they're not present in the selected folders.
Cloud Folders Table
Within the Cloud Folders table, you will have at-a-glance information on the folder paths being integrated into the domain.
If everything is successfully connected, your SharePoint folder path will be displayed here. For each entry, you can access a menu with three dots where you have the option to delete the path or refresh it to immediately resync the files within. Once deleted, the files will no longer be accessible to users from MangoApps until the path is re-established.
If the folder path is changed for any reason within SharePoint, a new path will need to be established in this menu.
Enabling SharePoint in Federated Search
To include SharePoint files in federated search, navigate to the admin settings of the Search module.
Activate SharePoint as a data source within the search settings and the SharePoint files will be searchable within MangoApps under the specified label.
